Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
We are welcomed by a staff who can speak English. He kindly shows us around and tells us the facilities about the hotel. Our room is big, on high floor and have a view. The breakfast is nice and has a lot of varieties. We definitely have a good experience at Wakura Onsen Notosaku. Thank you.
Beautiful but a little dated. The onsen was gorgeous, with view out to sea. It was a lovely setting.
The rooms were comfortable but could do with a spruce up.
the location is excellent, good value for money. it is tidy, warm and homey, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry machine, walking distance to the onsen street and dinner place. no complaint at all!
The staff Were so lovely and helpful! When I asked for a taxi to be called to get me to the station, he offered to drive me instead ☺️ the biggest and best daytrip onsen was only a short walk away
House is newly renovated, well designed lay-out, big rooms, tatami bedding, big self service kitchen, big eating and resting area facing the sea.
Motorbikes were invited into a big central laundry area between the front house and back house (owner).
Western seating and tables, excellent Japanese breakfast. (we were offered breakfast in the evening as we left before 7am).
Extremely helpful and friendly owner.
The house has a very good feeling, it was a great stay.
The ryokan has an excellent onsen area that I enjoyed in the evening and the morning. Staff were very helpful including pointing me to the most reasonable shuttle bus to reach a limited express train from the station. Also, the kaiseki dinner was very tasty.
