I totally enjoyed my stay at Ryokan Yamamuro! This is a family-run ryokan and the hosts, Bungo and his mother, are very kind and accomodating. We only stayed in Kanazawa for a day and Bungo was totally helpful on recommending where to visit and eat during our short trip (he gave very good recommendations!). He even helped us book a bus for our trip to Shirakawa-go and Takayama. And what’s great about the property doesn’t stop there. The ryokan itself is a very nice place to stay! It is located in the heart of Kanazawa, most tourist spots are located within 5-15 minutes walking distance. The place (lobby, room, dining room, etc.) is very clean, they even cleaned our luggage wheels before sending it to our room, you totally can see the effort they make to maintain the ryokan’s cleanliness. The room is very nice with direct access to indoor garden. This is by far the best hotel stay I had. Thank you for hosting us.

Rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and low furniture. Some offer beds, while other rooms come with traditional futon bedding. All rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Yukata robes are provided. The staff is amazing! Very helpful and kind! The food was delicious. The onsen is authentic and a must! It was a unique Japanese experience!

Beautiful Japanese cultural experience. We booked in room massages in the evening before visiting the public bath. Breakfast was amazing. Our favourite accommodation so far. Worth every penny.

A free-use internet PC is available at the lobby. Amazing place!! Right next to the market, easy to find and near some bus stations. The hostess was incredible!! She helped us wirh anything we needed. The breakfast was filling (both the Japanese and continental) and the room was one of the best we ever encountered. Book a stay here if you want a great place to stay in kanazawa!!!
