This hotel dates from the Tudor period, but the inside reflects the very best in modern design. It is featured in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral, as well as the TV show Midsomer Murders.

With hundreds of years of history (Oliver Cromwell once stayed here), The Kings Arms Hotel is ideal for a romantic getaway.

As much as possible, the property is kept in its original state, truly an historical treasure.

The breakfast was really good, with fantastic bacon in the full English. Overall it was comfortable, the shower was nice and powerful and the mini fridge, hair drier and TV all worked fine. Although we didn't have dinner here on this occasion we have done in the past and the food was excellent.

The breakfast was excellent. We didn't eat dinner. Best described as a nice English pub in style. The room we stayed in was in a block away from the main Hotel. Might be difficult in the rain, but also meant the rooms were quiet. We booked here because we were meeting friends close by, but it is very handy for London, Heathrow and the M25. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pub has a large off street car park.

The dinner and lunch we had were very good. The breakfasts were indifferent. First morning the two poached eggs on toast were excellent. The second morning, the full English was not so good.

The rooms were spotlessly clean. Beds were large and comfortable and shower was larger than expected. Both dinner and breakfast were freshly cooked and delicious.

Absolute hidden gem and worth the effort to find and stay the night Hats off to the chefs, who put every effort into creating mouthwatering meals. The potted crab is heavenly. Fresh bread, perfectly crispy bacon... every dish is stunning. Rooms are clean, bed is soft, coffee in the rooms is quality. The hotel/pub itself is quaint, always something that catches your eye and is full of rustic charm.
