Grand, the room was about a 3. Bed wasn’t soft and comfortable, shower hot water was unpredictable and no heater in there

Old world charm with a very comfortable bed. Communication was good with owners. Text message sent on day of arrival with instructions on how to access the building. Walking distance to town only took about 10 minutes - however a torch on our phone was needed at night as it was very dark.

A great little town with so much to see in the town plus in nearby areas. The bakery, Gold Museum and gaol plus so much more, 2-3 days could easily be spent here. Being autumn time, the tree colours were magnificent.

Beechworth is a great place to visit at any time however, in autumn the colours are spectacular and as a keen photographer, I had plenty to photograph. There are also many activities in Beechworth and it's surrounds to have something meaningful to do every day. The weather was delightful.

Never enough time to see Beechworth.
Never enough time to see Beechworth. Easy walking to the different amenities. Very historical town and well worth the effort to see what is on display such as the court house, Burke Museum. Great eating at night time in the bistro at the Hotel Nicholas, but book ahead as it was flat out. Meals were amazing and well priced.

Been to Beechworth before but it is just delightful especially in Autumn. Nice lot of shops and walks if you like. Just relaxing in the sun is always good. Lots of history to explore if you like. Lots of good cycling too if that's your thing.

Very friendly people, especially in the Visitor's Centre.
Very friendly people, especially in the Visitor's Centre. They have recommendations for tours and useful maps. Beautiful town to just wander around but also lots to do and see. The self-guided cemetery tour is fascinating, as is the prison tour. Don't miss the Burke Museum with its row of shop fronts from Old Beechworth. Listen to stories from the past in the Telegraph Museum. On Mayday Hills you can go on a history or ghost tour of the old asylum which is very informative. Also, there are escape rooms and a great puzzle shop! Visit Bilson's brewery for free tastings of the many flavours of cordial (or alcoholic drinks), and the Beechworth Honey shop for honey tastings. There is also the lolly shop and the Beechworth Bakery and lots of other eateries in town. Should be a definite stop for anyone travelling in the area!
The apartment was well fitted out. The bed was comfortable with a separate room and we slept well. The en-suite was large with plenty of space for our toiletries. We had a large sitting and dining room. While being Tuesday, the hotel bistro was not open and there were very few places open foe evening meals. However, the Nicholas hotel, about 400m down the road, while not looking great from the outside, was amazing inside and the food was very good. Beechworth itself is rich in historic buildings. The historic walk is well worth doing.
We stayed for 3 nights in Beechworth Cedar Cottages. Set in beautiful gardens our 2 bedroom cottage (named Ingram) had been very well maintained and was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was provided and the facilities generally in the cottage were excellent. I cannot recommend Beechworth Cedar Cottages more highly than to say that we found our cottage to be, without doubt, the best we have stayed in during many trips through the rural areas of Victoria, NSW and South Australia.
Cabin was super cute! The bed was really comfy & it was great that it was fully self contained with a kettle, toaster and microwave - a coffee in bed each morning looking out into nature was luxury! The park itself had a very in nature feel - not at all commercialised - there was a cute little playground but none of the typical 'jumping pillow' style stuff that takes away from the beauty of camping. I loved our little deck and ability to have a campfire.
The Drummond Cottage was fabulous. It had everything we wanted and is very spacious and attractive, with access to the lovely yard/ BBQ/ outdoor seating and close to the Rail Trail for long walks in nature. The huge spa bath was fun. The town is beautiful with lots of historic buildings and great shopping (food, homewares, knik-knacks and clothes) and excellent pubs for drinks and good meals. It is a relaxing, romantic place to stay. We will go back.
Great location. Met at the front office by the delightful Fiona who was accommodating, friendly and hospitable. Check in was a breeze and our room was a pleasant surprise. Parking was easy and with the added bonus of a swimming pool this hotel was a little gem of a surprise. Great location being literally less than a minutes walk to the epicentre of Beechworth. Will definitely be staying again if we are ever back in the area.
The hosts are great and helpful people. Ask them for tips for the region. The accommodation is surrounded by greenery, it's wonderfully quiet, a great place to relax. Breakfast and dinner can be booked and are highly recommended. The local wines offered by Beechworth House are also worthwhile. If you have time, you should visit the Bridge Road Brewers or the small bistro Project 49 in Beechworth.
Stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel is very well maintained with a luxury feel to it, standard double room was small but serviced daily. The hotel is walking distance from the town center though the walk back to the hotel is all up hill. All staff were lovely, Their restaurant was closed during the stay period. The grand oaks and surrounding area is beautiful.
We had the most amazing time at French Cottage in Beechworth. Upon arrival, we were greeted with locally made crumpets and wine, which we enjoyed in the natural light-filled dining/living area. Additionally, the garden at the back was beautiful and well-maintained. Overall, we would definitely stay at the property again!
We stayed at Beechworth Sambel Caravan park for one night. Everything was perfect. The cabin was very clean, well equiped and specious. We trully enjoyed our walk aroun the lake. Autumn time is magical at Beechworth. The owner was very welcoming and helpfull. I would highly recommend this place.
Twelve on Albert is superb boutique accommodation well located in Beechworth. The entry - foyer and communal lounge area was elegant. The room had lovely decor, was clean with a comfortable king sized bed, quality product and luxurious robes.
We highly recommend Twelve on Albert!
Comfortable cabin with all of the amenities we needed for our long weekend in Beechworth. A short stroll into town made it a great way to walk off dinner and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Staff were super friendly and helped with great ideas of things to see and do in town.
We've stayed a few times in Beechworth, and this time we wanted to be in town, so location was important... We were only staying for one night and the room was ample for our needs and was spotlessly clean.
Beautiful historic house in great location in Beechworth. Very welcoming, informative host, lovely large room with comfortable bed, delicious breakfast included as well as welcome drinks and biscuits.
Excellent location. A 2 minute walk to the many cafes, restaurants and specialty shops. Also walking distance to Beechworth Gaol. Would highly recommend booking a tour there.
