This was the best place in Iceland. The owner, a very kind man, cooked the breakfast for all the guests. Waffle and home made jam! the best person of the travel! The loa's nest is really good place, my room was fantastic!

The location is perfect ,near a secret hot spring, the view amazing, rooms comfy and tidy, kitchen has all the necessity, we could have tea and coffee all day, bathrooms very clean, we could also have more pillows which I always need. From the moment we stepped into the house, it was obvious that the owner had put allot of effort and love into making this place. You could tell that, by the warm decoration of the room and cosy feel, the brand new furniture, the smell of cleanliness, the well washed dishes and silverware, the well stocked kitchenette with coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper, etc, the abundance of clean towels, the assortment of board games, and so on. This is one of those places were you wish you would get stranded because of weather or whatever, so that you have an excuse to stay there for a week and just relax and enjoy life.

Hvammból Guesthouse is a small, family-run guest house situated 10 km from Vík. It offers studio apartments featuring a private entrance and small patio from which guests can enjoy views of the hills and endless sky. Hvammból Guesthouse is close to Vik and at the perfect location to view the northern lights from as it is far from light polution. We saw them on our first night there! The studio was comfortable and had everything described! Highly recommended and we would gladly return!

This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Such a lovely place to stay! Check-in and check-out was super easy. Communication with our really friendly host always quick and helpful. The apartment is cute and has all you need for two: Well-stocked kitchenette, super clean and modern bathroom, a giant TV (even though we never switched it on), and the place has its own private hot tub in the backyard! The location is perfect as it's just around the corner from Selfoss' central roundabout, so you'll find it easily and have a great base for exploring Iceland's beautiful southside. Also, you can drive to Reykjavík in just about one hour.
