The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful with lush pastures, hilly slopes and the wild Atlantic Ocean with its vast, sandy beach. The walk down the hill from the bus stop (we took a bus from Tangier, so the house can easily be reached without a car) is amazing. There are plenty of farm animals around, cows, sheep and hens, and many cats that we grew very fond of. There is also a little store by the highway (less than 1 km from the house), where you can get basic foodstuffs (water, bread, eggs, milk, some vegetables, etc.). Overall, Hicham's place is ideal for those guests who like some peace and quiet, and want to experience Morocco's beauty in a less touristy area on the Atlantic beach.
