Our very friendly and uncomplicated host was expecting us after friendly phone calls earlier (we were calling ahead and could always reach our host by phone!). The location is very quiet, even in the tourist season (off-season you have Aquacalda just for yourself :-), the bus stop is directly in front of the house and kids ride free (btw, the street is very quiet, hardly any traffic at all). The beach is ok, but not sandy (as others at Lipari and Vulcano). The area is rich in Obsidian stone - visit the old quarries nearby and you'll find plenty of the otherwise rare stuff. We stayed a day longer on the island due to bad weather and could extend our stay without problems. Thanks again, Maria and Alexandro! The appartment is pretty large with separate rooms - ideal for kids/family or two couples traveling together. Also, the area around is good for letting the kids explore on their own. Internet is fast and reliable.

The location was just amazing! We couldn't get enough of the view. It was beyond our expectations and we immediately wanted to stay longer. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a lot of care put into the decor, it was such a cute space and very comfortable. We enjoyed just hanging out around the house or walking down to the beach for more relaxation. Our hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with. I can't recommend this place enough. Highlight of our trip.
