Located right in front of Kintaikyo Bridge, Iwakuni Kokusai Kanko Hotel offers Japanese-style rooms and public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. Beautiful view at breakfast, and a fairly epic and grand lobby. I enjoyed the giftshop in the lobby, also, which made souvenir shopping easy.

The food was to die for (literally), as we were served a kaiseki of different seasonal foods, including an assortment of pufferfish which was very, very delicious. The room was very spacious and tidy with great views of the mountains, sea, and local docks below. Yukata's are provided free of charge. This hotel was one of the most memorable highlights of our trip! We only stayed for a day, but we'll definitely be back to visit again. The staff were cordial and helpful, and the view of the starry night sky from the onsen was wonderful. Transport can be arranged to pick you up from the nearest bus stop, so don't let not having a car stop you from visiting.

Amazing service. Wonderful rooms and onsen. Very traditional and aesthetically pleasing. Excellent food.

The staff, the show, the shop, the spa, the room, beautiful artwork throughout the hotel. I felt like I went back in time and loved every minute of it.
