I enjoyed the breakfast and diner in hotel restaurant. I can say that the level of food is like an art. After you enjoyed the dining there, you will fall in love with this hotel. Enjoying the hot spring is also very special moments. Every staff is very friendly and kind to help the customers. I really enjoyed this hotel and I wish that I could come back to this place in someday. Thank you to all staffs.

Owner was a lovely lady who went out of her way to serve her guests and answer any questions. I wish I had the time to stay for longer to enjoy the town and the accommodations.

A definite top 5 for me. We got the room with a private one and it was simply so amazing to have that within seconds of your room. Also it felt like the water in the private in room onsens had much more minerals than the large one but the large one is well worth a stay too as it feels so free to be the only one there and gazing upon the mountains as you bathe.

The cutest bnb with the cutest cat and the kindest host! Room was awesome, I had the Japanese style room with the garden view/patio, it was very spacious and comfortable, there's even a massage chair! The bathroom and onsen facilities were great, was clean and had everything you needed. Location was good, maybe 6mins to town, 15/20min to the village. It's a small town so easy to walk everywhere. Lawsons is next door and a bbq place around the corner which I didn't get a chance to try out. Kitchen is well stocked especially if you just want to eat something at the hotel (I couldn't find an izakaya that had space for walk ins - it was Sunday). Price is very reasonable!

The location and serenity were like none other. The staff was so kind and provided an incredible atmosphere. The food was 12/10, I would go back just to try more seasonal favorites.

Excellent service, food, accommodations, hot springs. One of the best places I have ever stayed at.

Situated 41 km from Kinrinko Lake, Sanso Tensui offers 4-star accommodation in Hita and features an open-air bath, a garden and a terrace. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and free shuttle service. This was an actual 10/10 stay. The hotspring baths are amazing, the rooms are beautiful, the staff goes above and beyond and the food is quite the experience. If you come here i would also recommend checking out the bar. The bartender is very nice and made us some amazing cocktails. I can recommend his "rose petal mojito".

AMANE resort GAHAMA features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 24 km of Oita Bank Dome and 4.4 km of Beppu Station. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a lift and full-day security, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan has family rooms. Incredible! Wish I could’ve stayed more than 1 night. The public bath with the view of the ocean was breathtaking. The gardens and public areas around the resort are absolutely stunning, so many great little nooks. The staff is extremely attentive (one member was waiting for us with an umbrella as we were crossing the street, still a few minutes away from the resort!) and spoke English very well. We had the seaside villa and it was bigger than we thought - actually for 2 people it’s too big. The view from the second floor to the ocean is amazing as well. There are two private baths, a really spacious indoor bath and a semi open air outdoor bath. While the outdoor one was more picturesque, the indoor one was more comfortable for me. I liked the breakfast as well, both western and Japanese options.
