The onsen and private onsen was so amazing and magical. Also the view from my room was amazing because it was snowing and everything about this property was magical.

Only 4-5 min walk from the west exit of the Echigo-Yuzawa station. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the same street.

Tamakiya Ryokan is located in Tokamachi, 24 km from Yuzawa and 20 km from Nozawa Onsen. Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and is equipped with a flat-screen TV. Few reasons we chose to stay in Tamakiya: -It locates in a countryside helps us slow down a bit and enjoy the snowy nature. -Great experience while enjoying the in-room Onsen + seeing snowing right in front of us. -Tamakiya offers some great food, both nights we selected the French cuisine with wine, sake pairing. The food was delicious and Yuichi-san shared his marvelous sake pairing technique by bubbling it, added an extra favoring in which the goal is to refine our tasting journey. Of course traditional kanzake (warm sake) was served too during the dinner course.

The food was simply amazing, dinner being one of the best meals I’ve ever had, no dish over or under seasoned and exquisitely presented. The service was also very attentive.

Sitting in front of the room window, you can enjoy the spectacular snow view. The hotel is close to the nearby station，It will take 5mins to muikamarchi station. There are so many snow resorts nearby, it is very comfortable for relaxing in the hotel ‘s onsen, and then have a taste of the local food of the hotel after skiing. It is especially worth mentioning that the staff of the hotel is particularly enthusiastic, offering to provide shuttle services to the nearby station, snow resorts…When we need to go shopping, they also warmly send us to there. When we left, the staff gave my child two bathrobes.

Surrounded by untouched nature, Satoyama Jujo offers eco-friendly designer accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths. Had the most incredible stay at Satoyama Jujo. My wife and I were visiting Japan and in search of a nature retreat from Tokyo for a few nights, and this resort exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The room was quiet and serene, the baths had stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and the food was impeccable. The service was so thoughtful as well; on our last day we were snowed in and couldn't get back to Tokyo, but the hotel made sure we could extend our reservation one night and offered a complimentary taxi to the train station the next day. Hope to be back again one day!

Only a 7-minute walk from Akakura Ski Resort, Hotel Taiko features indoor and outdoor public hot spring baths, massages and a sauna. We loved the vibe and spacious rooms. Location perfect and walking distance to town and ski lifts. Loved breakfast and morning music 🎶

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Mount Tanigawa, Hotel Futaba lies on the high plains of the historical Echigo-Yuzawa Onsen hot spring area. The room is very neat and clean. Bed is comfy! Beautiful view from bedroom window. Breakfast served on the same floor that I stayed which was very convenience. Transportation to the train station provided by the hotel. Also complimentary bus to and from the ski area is very nice.

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is within a 2-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and the Sake Museum. It offers 3 public baths, a massage service and free parking on site. Location: it was across from Echigo-Yuzawa station and it was easy to get to the hotel. Rooms: they were spacious and the futons got made every day. Onsen: fantastic onsen facilities that made our stay more pleasant. Breakfast: good variety of Western and Japanese food. The restaurant was big and accommodated everyone. Coffee and amazake were provided free of charge which was a lovely gesture.
