Syukubo Aso erbjuder boende i Aso, 33 km från Egao Kenko Kumamoto-stadion och 42 km från Kumamoto slott. The venue itself is stunning, an old Samurai house, very ancient and cool. The staff were incredible, very attentive to every request- including building an entire vegetarian menu (!!!) with local ingredients for my wife (we did notify beforehand). The food overall in the dinners was outstanding, we stayed for two nights and had two completely different dishes. The private onsen was amazing, just what you need after a long day out.

Okyakuya byggdes 1722 och ligger i ett historiskt område i stadsdelen Kurokawa Onsen. Här bor du bara 100 meter från Kurokawa Onsen. Det finns gratis WiFi och privat parkering på plats. Food was awesome and they were accomodating towards our preferences. The futons were extremely fluffy and comfortable. We had the river room and the spacious room and amazing view was phenomenal. Super memorable stay with super attentive and friendly staff. The baths were fun and had great history to them. I think it's a sodium chloride spring with some sulfur content for the most part and I think there's another spring that's slightly different. They also swap around the baths morning/evening so that the guests can enjoy different ones!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was very clean and comfortable, we ordered dinner for the first night, food was great and delicious.

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan har 5 varma källor, inklusive ett 30 meter långt grottbad. We spent 3 nights at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nihonbashi Kayabacho hotel after arriving in Japan (There is another Fresa Inn in the area, so make sure this is where you have your reservation). It is a relatively modern, functional hotel sometimes referred to as a business hotel.  The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small as is typical in Tokyo but very clean and functional.  The hotel is convenient to Tokyo station (20 minutes walking as a reference). After arriving on the Narita Express or by others means to Tokyo station, follow signs to the Tozai line (sky blue) subway. The easiest way to know which direction to go is to look at the numbers representing the stops.  The Tokyo station stop at Otemachi is T-9 and you want to go to T-7 Kayabacho. Leave the Kayabacho subway station via Exit 7 and the hotel is just around the corner.  From Kayabaco or the nearby Nihonbashi station, you can get all around Tokyo on the highly efficient subway system.  Use a Suica, Welcome Suica or Pasmo card to enter and exit subways and avoid the hassle of figuring out which ticket to buy or how much they coat. Just tap and go.  Enjoy. Kokura,Onsen EXPERIENCE JAPAN LIKE THE JAPANESE We decided to spend a couple of days in central Kyushu to enjoy a traditional Japanese ryokan experience. Boy, was that a great call! I88We stayed at the Yama no Yado Shinmeikan  in the Kokura Onsen area, which is an hour north of Aso city by bus. The ryokan is 130 years old but is clean and well-maintained. It features a total of 5 unique onsens, including one carved into a cave.  The ambiance is terrific and the staff is super friendly and helpful.  The ryokan is located along a flowing river and the sound of running water adds to the relaxing quality of the stay.  (The Fuji room is best). All accommodations are traditional Japanese tatami rooms which are made up for sleep each night by the staff as you enjoy the onsen baths.

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. Stunning setting and facilities. Very traditional rooms and decor.

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. Everything... the atmosphere, serenity, lovely room, beautiful onsen baths, good food, heavenly gardens, helpful and friendly staff. It was the quintessential traditional Japanese cultural experience.

Everything; the hospitality of the staff, kaiseki in private dining room, the room, and private onsen.

Yamashinobu omges av skog och har en rofylld atmosfär. Här finns allmänna och privata varma källbad, ett astronomiskt observatorium samt ett piano. Excellent and friendly service. Had to request the hotel to send help due to car being stuck in snow. We'll thought of touches to the rooms.
