The place is truly authentic, ppl may describe it as old but it's can't be more wrong. I would describe it as rustic and serene, especially with the river beside it. Yes!! A running river, not much of a great sight but the sound of flowing water bring peace to your soul. Also, there's a private and excusive onsen beside the river, you just have to reserve it. Now to the most important aspect, the staff of Seiryuso.The hotel manager, Kajiki san set the benchmark for top notch hospitality. He has a bubbling personality, always giving out good vibes and positive energy. Always ready to serve and provide service. Always service with a smile.😊😊😊. Well, Japanese are known to provide great service but this is a whole other level. A special shout-out to the restaurant crew, specifically the service staff, didn't manage to get all their names other than matsuyi san. Kudos to the other gentlemen that provided the service.

Yurian ligger i Ibusuki, 10 km fra Ibusuki Onsen. Der er swimmingpool og varme kilder på stedet. Swimmingpoolen og varme kilder udskiftes 2 gange om dagen. All their staff were very warm, friendly and super helpful. Love the Spring onsen plus a separate spring swimming pool in the villa. Amazing views!!

Iseebisou ligger i Ibusuki, 49 km fra Kagoshima Station og 17 km fra Chiran Peace Museum. Der er have og bjergudsigt. Dette overnatningssted ved stranden har gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. Good location, can see sunrise and sunset. Excellent food, dinner have 4 courses with lobster 🦞

Bihadanoyu Koshikano Onsen ligger i Kirishima, 47 km fra Kagoshima Chuo Station og 48 km fra Kagoshima Station. Der tilbydes værelser med aircondition og eget badeværelse. Everything! Great place, calm, besides the river. Excellent food, complementary drinks, lovely room and onsen… absolutely fabulous!

Hanon～波音～ has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Tatsugo, 1.1 km from Kurasaki Beach. 30 km from Amami Marine Exhibition Hall, the ryokan offers a garden and a bar. It’s a family owned guest house with mother, father and two kids born 2020 and 2023. The father speaks English and that is friendly and eager to help. The common area is the same as the family’s private space. As a family you have access to a big bath tub big enough for four people. The house is made out of mainly wood, which is spacious and cozy. They created small areas for kids to play. Example a small ropeway. The father likes spear fishing. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful family made the trip to Amami really pleasant. Recommended.

Kirishima miyama Hotel ligger blot 8,9 km fra Kirishima Jingu-helligdommen og tilbyder indkvartering i Kirishima med adgang til udendørs bad, have samt bagageopbevaring. Loved everything about this place. Hosts and staff were wonderful, food was great and rooms were clean and comfortable.

Rainbow Sakurajima ligger i Kagoshima og har restaurant. Der er gratis WiFi. Samtlige værelser har aircondition. Der er også elkedel. Der er desuden eget badeværelse med hårtørrer. A very nice Japanese style hotel right by the ferry terminal.

Nakahara Bessou ligger 5 minutters gang fra sporvognsstationen Tenmonkandori og tilbyder indkvartering i japansk og vestlig stil med fladskærms-tv samt forfriskende offentlige bade i varme kilder. Absolutely loved the place! It’s a hotel, but has a ryokan influence. The Japanese room was great, with enough room to move around and everything you need - water, tea, yukata, fridge etc The onsen and traditional breakfast were great, too. The location is perfect to visit many places of interest and the City View bus stop is just a couple of min walk from it. My favourite thing was staff: they are all professional, friendly, welcoming, super kind and helpful. If I come back I will definitely stay here again, no doubt!

Overlooking Kagoshima Bay, Hakusuikan boasts an outdoor pool and a variety of spacious indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, including a Sunamushi sand hot-spring. The whole experience was wonderful. Dinner was abundant, onsen facilities were great and the room was huge!

Ryokan Kawakyu ligger 8 minutters kørsel fra JR Ibusuki Station og tilbyder værelser i japansk stil med udsigt over Nitanda-floden, grøn te og traditionel futonseng. The Staff was very welcoming and helpful, starting with kindly greeting us at Ibusuki train station and generously providing a ride to the ryokan. Loved the traditional tatami room and wonderful hot springs (even with a private bath area). The owner was very responsive to communication via Booking message app and also has very strong English so all went smoothly. Breakfast on site was very good and convenient since restaurants are primarily near the station.
