Surrounded by lush nature on Mount Hakkoda, Tsuta Onsen Ryokan offers a hot spring bath, Japanese cuisine and a free shuttle to/from Shichinohe-Towada. This Ryokan has one of the best hot spring water in Japan. It’s our fourth time to come visit here, and I always cannot appreciate enough everything about this Ryokan. Best Onsen, food is fabulous and staff members are super kind. We will surely come back as always.

Boasting a garden and views of city, Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN is a ryokan set in a historic building in Ōwani, 42 km from Lake Towada. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! They helped me securely store my bike and when I first got on the room they brought me a thermos with boiled water so I could have some tea immediately. The onsen itself was small but was pretty empty whenever I went, with good opening hours to suit all lifestyles.

Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Fukaura, a few steps from Furofushi Onsen. Bath in an outdoor onsen next to the ocean while seeing sunset is a once-in-a-life time experience.

Situated in Aomori and only 20 km from Sannai-Maruyama site, Yadoya Tsubaki features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The location was excellent. The town itself is also very quaint and calming. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Always willing to assist even though my Japanese is very poor. There was also a lot of advertising in the accommodation of what was going on locally which was really nice.

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. Beautiful tatami room, stunning scenery, relaxing baths, and the best dinner and breakfast I’ve ever had! Very much worth the trip.

Iroha Ryokan sijaitsee vain 2 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä JR Aomorin rautatieasemalta. Iroha Ryokan tarjoaa yksinkertaisia japanilaistyylisiä huoneita, joissa on taulu-tv. Great location near Aomori station. You get a traditional japanese room for a reasonable price.

Boasting a spa bath, Tabinoyado Saikawa is situated in Kuroishi. This 3-star ryokan provides a spa experience, with its spa facilities and beauty services. Enjoyed everything ! Ranko was fabulous host and her mother is a fabulous cook for dinner and breakfast. The food was local and organic and much of it was grown by the family. The room and futons were clean and comfortable . The ryokan is decorated with local products and crafts with nice warm , home like feeling. we enjoyed a variety of local sakes and of course apple juice. The onsen was great with local spring water from nearby Mt Hakkoda. Conveniently located near Mt Hakkoda, apple orchards , sake breweries, art and craft centers , and hirosake castle / museum / botanical gardens. Was the best hotel/ryokan experience in japan.

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. Location is great! A few steps from the train station. Our room is Japanese style with sea view. Dinner was superb! They served Japanese traditional food set with wagyu and seafood buffet. Breakfast's buffet lines were impressive as well!! Onsen has two big indoor pools and one outdoor pool. Hot spring water is also serviced at our room's bath tub!! We were very happy!!!
