The air-conditioned rooms feature views of Kiyomizu Temple, tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. A flat-screen TV, a safety deposit box and a thermos bottle with green tea bags are included in each. Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests, and bathrooms and toilets are shared.

Everything was amazing. The food was exceptional, the service and hospitality were outstanding, the room was very large and beautiful and I really regret that I had to leave again. Next time I will surely stay longer! I don’t speak any Japanese but everybody was really kind and polite and took good care of me. It exceeded my expectations by far!

The dinners and breakfasts were outstanding. The first dinner was fully veggie (pilgrim requirement perhaps) and delicious, then they asked us if we eat fish and meat, then had also fish and meat dishes. The ryokan-keepers were so kind and helpful to help us locate the place. Because, it is very remote and GPS coordinates not that accurate.PierreFamily with young children

Dinner and breakfast were delicious and varied on each of the 3 days that we stayed. Our room was spacious and had a delightful sitting area. The location within the temple grounds was beautiful. We were picked up and dropped back at Yasugi train station, as well as the Adachi museum. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was non-vegetarian and tasty. Service was good. As expected of a ryokan so don’t expect 5 star hotel quality but definitely comfortable and clean.
