Situated in Tokyo, 300 metres from Asakusa Fujiasama Shrine and 7.5 km from the centre, cyashitsu ryokan asakusa features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and an open-air bath. This 3-star ryokan offers a lift and full-day security. The ryokan has a hot tub and luggage storage space.

Immaculately cared for with the kindest staff I have ever encountered. You immediately feel at home and taken care of with small touches like skincare in the bathrooms, to big things like the private roof onsen available for free reservation. Fabulous breakfast and we were on our honeymoon so they surprised us with a decorated dessert and Polaroid photo of us!! Over the top kindness that makes me recommend this hotel to everyone and can’t imagine visiting Japan again without staying here.

The look, the decoration, the room. The employees were supernice. Even though they wore masks most of the time, there are certain people who somehow can smile with their eyes.

It was amazing. My stay was very short, hopefully next time longer. Location in the middle of Asakusa area, everything is ongoing around. Public bath, is private and you can book it for free, very nice. Room was spacious, and had kind of living room as well + in my case private bathroom. People who are working there were so nice and taking care, offering me use their free facilities, checking if I woke up in the morning, in order to not miss my flight. Thank you! ありがとうございます

We stayed one night at this hotel in a family room due to an early morning flight. The family room was well set-up, with a tatami area where the futons were rolled up until we needed them. There are also 2 twin beds. The hotel is connected to Terminal 3 and a shopping center, so finding dinner was not a problem. The highlight was the Japanese onsen with 5 indoor pools and 3 outdoor pools. It was a nice soak before the long flight to finish our holiday.

Perfect traditional hotel. For an affordable price, you get a bath, an onsen, a tatami floor, and futon beds. The hotel itself is not heated but you can heat your room. There was no breakfast but there is a conbini right near the hotel. On the first floor, there is a microwave and a water cooker. We loved this hotel.

The ryokan is centrally located in Ueno and convenient for the University of Tokyo. It's a ryokan, so you get a low futon and tatami mats on the floor. They also provide you with a yukata to wear indoors. The owners are lovely, and arranged a late check-in for me without any difficulty. It is excellent value for the price.

The ryokan has charming traditional tatami rooms, pretty artwork and a jacuzzi as part of the facilities. I found the futon mattress and pillows very comfortable and slept really well. Everything seems to be designed with high attention to detail. The family of the owners are friendly and helpful. But the most exciting aspect of my stay has been the delicious home-cooked breakfasts. Both variety, quality and presentation were impeccable.
