Hotel looks quite old from the outside but the rooms have been recently renovated and are spacious are very nice. Onsen is gender separated and changes overnight (with view on Sakurajima and special "carbonated bath"). Food was outstanding: one of the best ever had! Overall highly satisfied.

Onsen Hotel Nakahara Bessou Nonsmoking, Earthquake retrofit, ryokan ở Kagoshima

A 5-minute walk from Tenmonkandori Tram Station, Nakahara Bessou offers Japanese-style and Western accommodations with a flat-screen TV and refreshing public hot-spring baths.

Absolutely loved the place! It’s a hotel, but has a ryokan influence. The Japanese room was great, with enough room to move around and everything you need - water, tea, yukata, fridge etc The onsen and traditional breakfast were great, too. The location is perfect to visit many places of interest and the City View bus stop is just a couple of min walk from it. My favourite thing was staff: they are all professional, friendly, welcoming, super kind and helpful. If I come back I will definitely stay here again, no doubt!

Located just a 5-minute drive from Kagoshima Central Station, Hotel Fukiageso boasts large indoor public bath. Free Wi-Fi is available at the lobby, and the whole property is wheelchair friendly.

They had very comfortable beds! The room was spacious. The dark wood furnishings gave it a classic vibe and it was very cozy.
