Beautiful & clean. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed the traditional room, meals & onsen. Be hungry when you go - both the dinner and breakfast had too much food for me. I ate as much as I could. I wish I could have asked for a ‘small’ version of the meals beforehand. I was still full from dinner when we went for breakfast.

The hotel rooms surround a traditional Japanese garden that is magically beautiful. Everything is considered. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. There is a public onsen but there are also private onsens, saunas, and hot rock bed rooms, which was great because you can enjoy the benefits in private, if you prefer this, rather than with others (which is the usual Japanese way). The food was also exceptional. We loved every minute and would definitely return!

Room: Huge for a couple. Private onsen is always flowing, very calming, enjoyed the mini waterfall. Breakfast: Plenty of food, but limited halal options. Default to bread, rice, salmon, mackerel, egg, the usual. Dine at your discretion. Dinner: Took the half board kaiseki course. Arranged in advance, was served seafood delicacies like lobsters, abalone. Chefs cooked some right at the table. Excellent!
