Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. The location was incredible! The staff was very friendly. The facilities seemed a bit older, but mostly quite clean.

Taupo DeBretts Spa Resort is just 800 metres from Lake Taupo crater lake. It has a natural thermal spa and is only 5 minutes' drive from the Taupo town centre. Free Wi-Fi is available. Super recommend for the location, facility and well-organized room, kitchen and shower room.

Beachside Resort Motel is less than 5 minutes walk from Whitianga centre and less than 100 metres from Buffalo Beach. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a tennis court. Very clean room Good location

You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way). Arrived late but code had been emailed previously to enable us entry. The electric portable stove hidden in the cupboard caught us out....only discovered it once the boys had cooked our pasta in the communal kitchen. 😂 Hire of the spades for Hot Water Beach was very helpful as was being able to shower in the communal block later after the beach even though we'd checked out. Thank you.

Located on The Esplanade overlooking Tairua Harbour, Paku Lodge Resort offers self-contained accommodation with a private balcony and harbour views. Very clean, all rooms have a view. The free use of the double kayak was great.

Located next to the Lost Spring Thermal Pools, this resort offers direct access to Buffalo Beach and has a heated outdoor pool, tennis court and a children's playground. Great location close to beach, restaurants and pier. Can access the Lost Springs Geothermal Pools and Spa through a gate at the back of the property. We were given a 3 level apartment that could have slept 7.
