Het luxe Dusit Thani Maldives biedt 94 villa's en residences op het Baa-atol, het eerste en enige UNESCO-biosfeerreservaat van de Malediven. It has been a week since we've come back from paradise on Earth. The beauty of the Maldives cannot be described, but the amazing experience of staying at Dusit Thani Maldives, which was simply perfect, can. To be perfectly honest, almost everything exceeded my (very high) expectation. The resort is a beautiful jungle/garden and cycling through it is a pleasure for all the senses (especially in the evenings, when you can smell frangipani). We have stayed in one of the ocean villas. The views were simply stunning. The villa was very spacious and cosy, and even though the furniture is not brand new, it is full of drama. Plus, they have the most comfortable pillows my head had ever touched. The big highight-and what convinced us to stay in the resort-is the Thai restaurant Benjarong with it amazing chef and staff-we were usually attended by Novika (foodie as myself, so she could provide great recommendation) and James, who was also super nice and attentive. After having dinner at Benjarong the first night, we booked all of our meals there (with the exception for the night of Eid celebration, when we dined on the beach with live local music and dancing-thanks Sharif. I especial recommend the soft shell crab with curry - powder, the lamb chops, and my favourite dish in the universe-the Thai green curry. My husband fell in love with the dessert with water chestnuts and ended up eating it twice a day 🙂 (and of course I ended up taking the Thai cooking class). Another highlight for the foodies was breakfast. while the choices of "western" food, pastries is impressive, my very favourite (and I had it every single day) was the noodles station. Also, make sure you try the passion fruit jam which is to die for. You can always ask Mona (yet another, cheerful foodie) for recommendations. Moving from the food... Above the Thai 'restaurant is the Sata bar. My husband took the cocktail making class there and we met a very gifted bar attender Amita.

Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu biedt een luxe verblijf in tropische villa's aan het kristalheldere water van een paradijselijk privé-eiland. staff was so friendly, polite, very welcoming, and helpful the arrangements from our arrival to Male airport and then the seaplane to the island and then the same arrangements on the day of departure from the island via the seaplane to Male airport and handling the luggage. I didn't think about anything. I didn't suffer from any thing. They arranged everything well. The food was nice and the all inclusive package was competitive. the complementary they gave to me, sunset cruise, diving, and massage. It was really amazing experience with Coco Palm.

Island Luxury Dive Hotel - Fulhadhoo heeft accommodatie in Fulhadhoo. Dit hotel met 3 sterren biedt een gedeelde keuken en roomservice. A very cozy guest house with kind and helpful personnel. Nice breakfasts. Tidy rooms with daily cleaning. Pick-up and drop-off to the beach, which was extremely convenient. The staff did its best to fulfill guests’ expectations and make their stay as comfortable as possible.

The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort is een accommodatie met 5 sterren tegenover het strand in Baa-atoll met heeft een fitnesscentrum, een tuin en een terras. Everything was perfect but the standout was the staff. They went out of their way to make sure you were catered for and made you feel like part of the family. Everyone we encountered helped you with a smile on their face. We stayed in a Deluxe beach villa and had stunning views every morning. The villa itself was so spacious and had everything, particularly useful that there were numerous plug outlets in the room. We had a bottle of prosecco waiting for us on arrival. The outdoor shower was divine. All the food was beautifully prepared and portions were huge (there were often buffets for dinner). We found half board was more than enough. Standout dessert was the Baked Yoghurt! There is a huge range of activities to do plus a great gym and spa! We managed to see Dolphins, Turtles and Manta Rays. It was such a perfect stay, made only more perfect by my fiancé proposing on our strip of the beach. We'd like to thank Laurent and his team for giving us some incredible memories and we cannot wait to return. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone I know.
