Kita Ward, Kyoto
Set in Kyoto, 1.4 km from Kinkaku-ji Temple, ROKU KYOTO, LXR Hotels & Resorts offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. Among the various facilities are a shared lounge, a terrace, as well as a bar. The accommodation provides room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. Every single corner! The hotel was just perfect, I found out about it by coincidence and couldn’t not take a room and enjoy at least a day before I leave Kyoto. Beds are very comfy, excellent service, friendly staff, breath taking views, a mix of modern/ traditional Japanese design.

Great decor. Clean and luxury feel.
The location is 3 mins walk from Shijo station and Nsiki Market, Not quite a 'Luxury; hotel but not at budget status either, Clean room however as per most Japanese Hotel rooms fairly small. Quiet though didnt really hear any other residents. Locally right opposite a 7/11 and round the corner from a Lawson Shop. Resturants are scattered around and you should easily get in.....Althought to stop down on the subway is Kyoto main station that has numerous Resturants a stones throw away
The spa exceeded my expectations: Hot and cold tubs were very clean, full and at the most perfect temperature each; the Finnish sauna was spacious, clean, hot and with "healing" lights. Plentiful showers. I loved the dry cool-off area, the sheer luxury of so much clean, beautiful space to move in. It was wonderful to be able to go to the spa with my whole family. We enjoyed it so much. I also liked the location very much: a convenient, respectable area, with easy access to a busy shopping and dining area.
Luxury apartment well equipped with everything you need including pyjamas and slippers. Felt extremely spacious coming from a small Tokyo hotel - 2 double beds in each bedroom. One bathroom with toilet/shower/bath + separate toilet. Easy walking to gion district.
Very beautiful traditional house with a Japanese garden. It was very calm and the rooms were very spacious. The Onsen was amazing too and the breakfast that was served in my room with view of the garden was perfect. It's not a western style hotel or resort and it doesn't have many rooms and this is exactly why it's a great experience. It's also in walking distance of public transport and temples but a bit off the tourist routes. Great place to enjoy Kyoto form a less busy perspective.
This place has truly ruined capsule hotels for me. This was NOT a hotel, this is a RESORT. 3 levels of spa, tons of meeting space, breakfast buffet?? Wtf how is this possible for $32??? I would stay here a week and not leave if I had the time.
Very exceptional luxury hotel
The hotel is rather spacious and luxury as compared to standard Japanese hotel chains, so it was a pleasant surprise.
This hotel was booked last minute as last resort when we could not extend our stay in ryokan as it was fully booked. But wow! We got a surprise and it was all worth it. We wanted to stay longer in Kyoto and this hotel not only provided us last minute accommodation but also was one of the highlights of Kyoto. The staff, the ambiance and the location were just the best. Could mot have asked for a better place. They even gave us a gift for our stay !!! How cool!!
