Incredible service and incredible overall experience. It's like staying in a fancy cabin in the snow. The lounge area with the giant fireplace is awesome, very nice food, very spacious rooms and first class facilities such as the onsens and indoor swimming pool. The decor could be interpreted as dated (as other reviews have stated) but we felt this simply adds to the warmth and cosiness of the establishment. The service here is seriously next level and it is fantastic value for money.

The room felt very authentic and full of charm. Akiri went extra mile to drove us to the snow monkey resort and back to the station. We had a private access to the onsen which was special too. The owners greeted us personally and were very helpful throughout the stay. Walking distance to many izakaya and restaurants. A very short commute to the snow monkey park and ski resorts. I would definitely recommend and would return.

The meals were incredible particularly the dinners which were different each night and allowed us to try many traditional Japanese dishes. The traditional rooms and onsen were excellent. My boys loved to play with their gorgeous dog Moko each day. The owners were so friendly and always available to answer questions. The lodge is super close to Yokoteyama ski resort which had more than enough ski runs for us. We would definitely recommend this place, thank you for a great stay!
