It is a new hotel, but the best one that we went to in tanzania. The staff is lovely and helped us out werever they could. Would definitly go back if we are at mafia island in the future.

This is a great place to stay if you are planning to dive in Mafia for a view days. The two cosy new bungalows are part of the family run dive center. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is yummy and you can also have the option for dinner. I enjoyed the big pool to relax after great dives and the beach is just a stone throw away. Also the dive center and its extremely helpful staff deserves 5 stars!

Maisara Mafia Beach Lodge está en Kilindoni, a 7,2 km de Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, terraza y restaurante. Beautiful bungalows with a huge garden directly in front of the beach. All the bungalows have a big glass front where you can see the garden and at some locations the beach. Incredibly nice staff - try to help and accommodate wherever they can. Could change the room without problems as I needed AC to be able to sleep (March can be incredibly hot and humid). Even came back to the hotel after diving on the other side of the island. Everything seems a bit rustic as first but you will definitely fall in love with it. There is a really really nice gift shop with handicrafts on site - really nice woman from the village, definitely one to support. The locations to the beach is super close and to the left there are two more hotels you can go for dinner or a drink. People all know each other on Mafia and help you with everything! :) Breakfast is great!

This is a great place for its very chilled and friendly atmosphere and the fish and seafood suppers amazing! All the staff were helpful and friendly and the owner genuinely committed to making our stay the best, helping with travel and diving arrangements as well as visiting local communities. You have to experience the Tuk tuk for travel ;-) Thank you everyone!

Mafia Island Bungalows, que tiene vistas al jardín, dispone de alojamiento con jardín, terraza y restaurante a unos 6,1 km de Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve. The staff was amazing, very hospitable and took care of everything. Breakfast and dinner was great, they have a really great chef and attentive personnel. They also rented us bikes for free, such that we could drive to the dive shop (~10 minutes by bike). Great and inexpensive stay!

Super welcoming team doing their utmost to make us feel at home.

Kitu Kiblu está a 6,8 km de Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve y ofrece alojamiento con restaurante, jardín, terraza y bar. Algunas unidades disponen de zona de estar y/o balcón. KK is extremely tranquil and perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of anywhere else. The setting is so peaceful hidden under the high canopy of the tropical forest. The staff are amazing and so helpful with anything on the island. The food is tasty and great value. The area has no other tourists so very quiet. The outdoor showers with Kerosene heating is pretty cool too.

El Meremeta Lodge está situado en Utende, a menos de 15 minutos en bicicleta del Mafia Island Diving, y ofrece bicicletas de uso gratuito y jardín. Hay conexión WiFi gratuita. This is by far the best place the stay in the island. We were treated like family and had the most memorable experience!

El Chole Mjini Treehouses Lodge ofrece un alojamiento único en casas árbol en la isla de Chole, en el corazón del parque marino de la isla de Mafia. Además, cuenta con un centro de buceo. An amazing little island with outstanding tree house accommodation. Eco tourism at its finest. Plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Perfect for winding down after doing safari. Definitely worth a visit. The owner has done so much to help the locals which was lovely to see.
