In a prime location in the center of Chiang Mai, POR Thapae Gate provides air-conditioned rooms, free bikes, free WiFi and an outdoor swimming pool. Staff and location. POR has a tranquil feel. The availability of water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit throughout the day is a real bonus. Staff are friendly and attentive without overstepping. They are helpful and can provide activity suggestions. We used the laundry service which was efficient and would recommend using if required. The location was ideal for the Sunday night market - a very short walk down a small alleyway. The salt water pool was refreshing and relaxing. Check out was 12.00 noon and our flight wasn’t until 6.00pm. Staff offered to keep our bags secure. We were made feel very comfortable sitting in the foyer and encouraged to use the facilities on our return from an outing. Highly recommend POR for your stay in Chiang Mai.
