One of our favorite stays in South America. Mario and his wife Juliana were so kind and accommodating. Juliana picked us up from the boat and Mario showed us around the entire island, informing us on history, culture, and fona and flora of the area. They also showed us local weaving. The room was beautiful and clean and we got to share a delicious dinner with the couple. I absolutely recommend this stay to anyone traveling to Puno area.

Taquile Familia Celso ligger 4 kvarter från det stora torget i Quinuapata. Varje morgon serveras en kostnadsfri frukost. Rummen har delat badrum. Taquile Familia Celso har en egen restaurang. Very warm welcome from Juana and Celso. Nice and cosy place to stay and chill. Celso will guide you to the best spots of taquile island from Pachamama temple, inca ruins, best sunset spot, to playa. They are great host with big heart. I truly recommend staying with them. They will tell you everything about island history, tradition, and more! Just remember not taking all your luggage with you ...cause the island is hilly and the hike can be a bit challenging with heavy bags.

Edwin was super helpful and caring so I could arrive the accomodation without any problem. Views were astonishing and the peace was out of this world. Food was nice too. They gave me a better room than the one I booked because they had it free for that night.

Richar’s home - experience Amantani with my family ligger i Amantani och erbjuder boende med utsikt över sjön samt en trädgård, en terrass och en restaurang. We have been welcomed by the wonderful host Lucrecia (Richar’s wife) alongside with her daughter. The rooms are really nice and clean and the view is just incredible. For lunch dinner and breakfast Lucrecia cooks delicious and healthy meals that we loved. Spending some time there has been truly relaxing and one to one with nature and local culture! Thank you to the family, highly recommended for a unique experience. Note on how to arrive: Easily grab a local bus “collectivo” from Puno to Capachica and then take a local boat from Chifforn Port to Amantaní. Then either you walk 1+ hours or take a ride with the motorbike that are available at the port waiting (very cool experience)

Stunning view from the upper porch. We had a remarkable time spending with the Host Adolfo and his family. The Host is truly a warm and cheerful person, he invited us to his every-day life which made our stay a genuine experience to remember. Highly recommend!
