Each of our 8 rooms, with shower, toilet and tv, match traditional stone construction with modern comforts. as always, Andre and his team provide a fantastic welcome and brilliant hospitality. lovely room and secure parking for my motorcycle too. food is the best in Vianden and I’m already looking forward to my next stay. I always book here as either my first night away when travelling in Europe or my last night when coming home.

Ancien Cinema Loft is a recently renovated apartment in Vianden where guests can make the most of the bar and barbecue facilities. The apartment was just simply cool. Well decorated and full of fantastic records and cds. It was also well stocked with tea, coffee, and cereals for breakfast. The host was gracious and the cafe downstairs was a fabulous bonus. We would definitely recommend this place.

Extremely clean, comfortable, packed linen so you are sure that it's clean and hygienic, kind staff, tasty breakfast "all-you-can-eat". Castle is seen from hostel window.

The Vianden Cottage - Charming Cottage in the Forest is located in Vianden, just a 12-minute walk from Vianden Chairlift and 0.6 miles from Victor Hugo Museum. Very cosy and well equipped for a self sufficient holiday. If isolation is not to your liking, it’s a short 1km walk down to town with the many restaurants and cafes. Log fire, large flat screen TV with Apple TV, German satellite TV and and X-BOX, Yamaha sound system which was awesome. Outside is a BBQ, fire pit with coals etc.

A tour of the castle is a must.
A tour of the castle is a must. Our hotel restaurant was excellent (Hotel Petry) so we didn't have to go anywhere else for meals. Beautiful city to explore rain or shine. It was raining most of the time and we still enjoyed our time in Vianden.

A great place for walking and relaxing. All hotels located close to the river with fantastic views. The castle above Vianden is s must to visit either by car or the more active follow the footpath and have a great walk.

I have been to Vianden many times.
I have been to Vianden many times. Summertime visits are beautiful to walk along the river, to enjoy conversation and a drink at an outside table, and to look up at the castle. As the days grow shorter and colder there is less to do - unless you plan to go to the once a year Nut Festival in October. This event is quite a treat. Overall; I find Vianden to have quite a nice mix of people. It can be a nice place to escape for a day or two of relaxation and cultural enrichment.

I was in Vianden for a conference.
I was in Vianden for a conference. It is a very charming town but once you have walked around and seen the Castle there is not much else to do. I did go running on the trails that run through Vianden and if I had been there longer might have done a hike.

Stay in Vianden was excellent point from which to see Luxembourg by car. The castle was very interesting. Drive up, don't walk unless you are very physically fit. (Chair lift was not working when we visited.)

The town is small but beautiful, and especially beautiful along the river. You have a nice view of the castle on the hill from just about everywhere. It is quiet off of the main road. Some of the hotels in the main part of downtown had tour buses so they appeared to be crowded. The main road is very narrow through the town. Getting around by foot is probably easiest. We came to Vianden to see the castle, which we enjoyed very much.

Vianden is a quaint, picturesque, quiet town. The views are lovely and the hiking is great. The castle itself is a little underwhelming, but it looks magnificent. Lots of lovely restaurants but not much grocery items.

The beautifully restored Vianden castle is one, located on the German border, is one of the great historic sites of Luxembourg. The village is small and can be covered on foot, thou the castle can also be accessed by car or a chairlift which offers beautiful views (and ice cream or cold beer at the vista). Good restaurants and bars in town, a comfortable, peaceful, relaxing place.

From $125 per nightThis has to be the coolest place we’ve ever stayed. A loft apartment in the heart of Vianden. Loved the apartment so much we didn’t want to leave. The owner Mac is excellent at communication and so helpful. The guy has great taste and an amazing record collection, so we had a bit of Dire Straits whilst having breakfast. Mac also owns the cafe below and the cinema, so so cool. We watched Tom & Jerry cartoons whilst having a drink, loved it. We’ll be back!!!

The hotel is located right in the city center, on the river bank. The room was comfortable and during the night it was quiet. We stayed only one night, we found free parking for the car on the opposite bank of the river. The breakfast was very good. The hotel has also a restaurant right on the river bank with a beautiful view on the Vianden Castle. The city and the castle are very, very beautiful!

The gas station shop was convenient and has a little bakery section. It look us 15 minutes to walk to Vianden, nice walk alongside the river. Location was good to explore Luxembourg by car.
