Our room was lovely, nice and big compared to usual Japanese standards. We had a family room with 3 large bads as well as sofa and seating area. Presentation was really nice. Staff were friendly and the location is good. Not far from the station and also not far into town. We had breakfast on the top floor with great views out to the mountains on both sides. There were really nice local specialities and a good wide spread. All was super smooth here. It was a fantastic stay and excellent value for money!

Located a 5-minute drive from JR Morioka Station, Kita Hotel offers simple yet functional rooms with free WiFi and wired internet access. Staff was very friendly during check in and they even spoke English, which was very helpful. They let me park on-site, which cost 900yen. If their lot is full, there is a paid parking lot on the corner available too. The single room was very spacious, clean and modern. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walking from the castle site and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as konbini across the road. Morioka is a wonderful city and I am glad I stayed here!
