Residence Hotel Takayama Station is well situated in the center of Takayama, and provides a fitness center, free WiFi and a terrace. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. This hotel is amazing. It is few steps from the station, few minutes walk from the center, the room was the most spacious I had during my three week travel to Japan. It also had a full equipped kitchen and a great washing machine.

時のホテル is located in Toki, within 27 miles of Nagoya Station and 28 miles of Aeon Mall Atsuta. Everything was great. I'd absolutely stay here again and again. The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

It was amazing. The name is Hostel, but it has a worth than a 5 star hotel. The room was very spacious and it has a kitchen and dining table and even a separated tea room. The breakfast is also fantastic. All food is fresh and healthy. The location is also one of the best things, just few minutes on foot from the train and bus station. I strongly recommend this hotel to all tourists.

In a prime location in the center of Takayama, Temple Hotel Takayama Zenkoji provides air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. We (my wife and I) stayed in the Zenko-Ji Temple hotel for one night and had a fantastic experience. We were greeted warmly right from the beginning by the friendly staff and could check in despite arriving a bit before the check-in time. After the quick check-in we had a small tour of the place and got an introduction to the temple and the various possible activities we can partake in. We had a lovely room (Sakura room), nothing fancy but very fitting to the place itself- traditional, simplistic yet comfortable. The next day we joined the morning prayer at 7:00 am which is highly recommended. Afterwards we also had a meditation session with the head monk who runs the temple/hotel. It was a great experience with some useful insights about meditation. Overall I would highly recommend staying here. It's not a place for a fancy stay but a place that can offer an insight to Buddhism in Japan, where you can have lovely conversations with the friendly staff and enjoy a peaceful environment.

If driving, you can temporarily park in front of hotel and offload bags, then park in nearby lot for 500 yen. Hotel is connected to and has free access to a beautiful and delightful public onsen bath. There is a washer and dryer on both the men’s and women’s side of the bath, but no coin changer. You probably need to bring laundry soap as well. Delicious Japanese breakfast for about 1000 yen per person.

Exceptional views from just outside the building of Gifu mountains, and the rooms themselves are very well-equiped and comfy, considering the price! The rooms were comfortable and well-ventilated (air conditioning and heating), and there was an excellent buffet breakfast served from 6.30-9am. The breakfast spread is very good for the price. The breakfast room is also roomy compared to other business hotels. The cost of accommodation is very cheap considering the location. JR line users have to walk 10-11 minutes from the station but the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the Meitetsu Gifu station.
