The Fontenay, Designhotel des Jahres 2023 und 2024 is a 5-star hotel situated on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. It gives me great pleasure to give feedback on The Fontenay. We have stayed in numerous 5 Star hotels around the world over the last many years and we have never experienced anything like The Fontenay. It is very luxurious, elegantly decorated and has a charming and very welcoming atmosphere with very attentive and professional staff. The location is fantastic right at the beautiful Alster lake. In short it was a magical experience. We shall definitely come back. Thank you all at The Fontenay for making our stay with a truly memorable experience.

Everything, except Gala dinner, chef was terrible and his 5 course meal was also a disaster. we left starving at new years eve, and paid 300 usd per person!!!! other than that everything and staff was great

Fabulous hotel located perfectly near a beautiful lake in the heart of Hamburg. The building is beautifuly furnished and rooms are exquisitelly decorated, one of the best hotels I've ever visited, everything here is pure art. The staff takes customer services to another level, probably that's how royalty feels like 👌 Breakfast is absolutely delicious and served perfectly. Congratulations! Will definitely return, I highly recommend this hotel if visiting Hamburg.

Centrally situated in a quiet side street, this 3-star superior hotel is located between the lively St. Pauli district and the Schanzenviertel district. I enjoyed a lot of staying here. Everything was perfect. Staff is very friendly, breakfast is good, place is very clean, cozy and nice. It’s a quiet street and windows don’t let noise in. There is also air condition in the room. I llike soft matress and I get soft topmatress when I said the matress was for me too hard. When I’m in Hamburg next time I hope I can stay here again!
