What a perfect location when arriving by car (could be a bit of a walk from the train station with luggage) Great walking access to the town, the river and the Munot. Centrally located in Stein am Rhein, Hotel Rheinfels is housed in a historic building from the 14th century and features a restaurant with a large terrace facing the river. Stein am Rhein is beautiful--a veritable museum of late medieval architecture. The hotel is in the middle of the "museum" and the streets are a delight to walk through. Hotel service, room, and breakfast were all excellent.

Set in Ramsen bei Stein am Rhein, this charming hotel is 19 km away from the Rhine Falls. The restaurant serves typical Swiss cuisine and free Wi-Fi and free parking is available on site. Large, comfortable, clean room. Friendly staff, a good breakfast buffet with many homemade bread and jams, fresh eggs, good coffee. Good bicycle storage, excellent dedicated bike path between Stein am Rhein and Ramsen. Lovely, relaxing village.

Built in the 14th and 15th centuries, the prestigious Guildhall Rueden is a successful example of the architecture of this time. The refined façade allows you to forget the 21st century. First of all I have to salute the staff: Incredibly professional, friendly, welcoming, and cooperative. The room was so comfortable. All its facilities worked like a charm. The location is extremely convenient near everything. The breakfast is so delicious; it can have more variability but still amazing. Oh! and again: the staff the staff the staff :)
