I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel, especially because it's kind of in the middle of nowhere and I expected it to be a rundown motel. We got there very late. I saw an envelope with my name on it sticked to the office door, with the instructions & keys in it. Very helpful and nice! The room was clean & had all we needed. The next day we've dealt with the paperwork, and we got nice recommendations from the front desk where to sightsee a bit.

Boasting panoramic views for 100 miles in each direction, this motel located on the main street in Historic Virginia City serves fresh coffee each morning. All guest rooms include free WiFi. We’ve had an amazing stay! Both hotel owners were so kind and so helpful, they really made our stay extra special. They gave us a lot of good recommendations and even showed us around town. We are used to stay at higher end hotels, so the rooms are not big but it’s very clean and you’ve got everything you need. To be honest, we loved it just as much if not more because of the personal touch! Theres also a small store at the office which has plenty to offer. We would really recommend staying a night at Virginia city to get the full experience, and if you do stay at the Sugarloaf!
