The motel was overbooked, and the owner seemed very irritated when questioned about being charged for a room that didn't exist. The Uber that dropped us off cost $20 dollars and after finding out in their front office I just spent $140 to carry my luggage to their picnic table and wait for another Uber out of there. The owner said " I don't care about the cost to you, it's not my problem"

I couldn't stay for the cooked breakfast at 9 am, so the owner put yogurt, pastry, fruit and orange juice in a bag for me to eat in the morning. There was a pedestrian bridge over the freeway that takes you to downtown Placerville where all the restaurants and shops are. Very handy.
