    This is an older motel, with many upgrades: the linens are spotless (and no artificial scents); mattresses are new; there's a micro/fridge; flat screen TV with many channels; endless hot water; easy access to nearby Carrizo Plain Natl Monument. The area feels safe and is quiet at night. We appreciate how hard these folks work to keep this place going in an spot that doesn't generally get much tourist business.

    This is a motel eight, not a super eight which was a little deceiving. The manager was very pleasant and helpful. The first room we were given had a cigarette odor so he gave us a different room which was much better. Has a refrigerator and a coffee pot and a microwave in the room. Beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. There is nothing much in this area to stay at so this worked very well for us and such a reasonable price.
