Excellent place to stay in Los Angeles. The price was just perfect, reasonable and affordable, and the room and location were very quiet. I loved staying in a classic old-school style US motel. The owner was helpful and welcoming, and I appreciated the extra blanket he provided as it was chilly! The fridge in the room was also helpful, as were the two communal microwaves. Redondo Beach Metro station is within walking distance to travel to LAX and other parts of LA. There's a good Jack in the Box fast food place nearby, as well as a Target supermarket. The area felt safe.

We could have stayed at one of the big boxes, but we like little spots, too. It was nice to be at the beach in January on a sunny 65 degree afternoon. The motel lacks amenities like hairdryers and shampoo/conditioner, but I had my carry-on, so I was set. Nice little balcony. We ate a pizza and took a walk on the beach. Not too pricey, either.
