First time, bugs and dirty. This time, clean and did see 4 bugs the entire stay. Staff friendly. Great place to stage a Darlington Race weekend out of. $85 a night for Labor Day weekend a bargain.

No weird smells as expected from a motel this age. Bar and grill in lobby offered a very good of food. Kitchen closes at 10 but bar open till midnight on a Monday. I had a dozen terriyaki wings (asked extra done and they actually did it) and a cheeseburger...very good. Surprised.TV worked well...EXTREMELY HOT shower...nice. Mini fridge did actually cooled drinks...alot of them dont.
