It is handy as a spot to come to after travelling a long day. There was a breakfast place nearby, not attached to the motel. I went into Chemainus instead for breakfast.

We were very pleasantly surprised. Yes the property is older but it is an old style highway motel. The room was very clean, updated decor, comfy beds and air conditioning. We didn't hear any highway noise at all and the check in staff was chatty and friendly. Don't miss this value gem because of some poor reviews. I would stay here again and recommend this motel.

The rooms are updated and very clean . Ive stayed here a few times and really enjoyed my stay. It is also right next door to a good restaurant which we stopped at for breakfast. The room was larger than expected and was spotless, aside from general stains. There is nice sized kitchen in the room so for a longer stay than ours it would be worth it to take advantage of but we were just staying the night to meet with a family member. Chemainus is just a short drive across the highway so very easy to get to if that is the purpose of your stay

The beds are comfortable, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are very clean, it's right off the highway, so really easy to get to.
