A lot of effort has gone into this property and it shows. We stayed in room 12. Absolutely beautiful. We are staying here again this weekend.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. I had a fantastic stay at my landlord's property in the UK. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. Our landlord was incredibly patient and provided us with great assistance, ensuring a wonderful experience during our stay. Overall, it's a great value accommodation, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again when my family visits the UK in the future!

My husband and I spent a bank holiday weekend at The Ravenstone with our dog, and it was truly one of the most delightful hotel experiences I've ever had. The property is so charming, and the rooms were very large and comfortable. The food was incredible and the bar had so many options. But more than anything, the staff was simply superb -- from Joe the bartender to the manager who carries around sausages for the dogs to the front desk staff, everyone went above and beyond the entire weekend. My husband and I are not typically the kind of people who spend a lot of time at hotels when we travel, but The Ravenstone was so lovely (and the food was so delicious) that we really didn't have any reason to go into Keswick during our stay. You can also walk to all of the good hiking areas, as well as Lake Bassthelwaite. Last but not least, the hotel is SO dog-friendly! They even have complimentary dog beds and bowls available and dogs are welcome everywhere at the property; however, it never felt like there were too many dogs or that we were staying in a kennel -- it was simply an above-and-beyond hotel experience and the dogs were icing on the cake.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable. The staff and the breakfast were both excellent.

Fantastic central location to Ambleside. Lots of local walks on the doorstep. The room was stunning, would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!
