Shepherds Tree Game Reserve is a lodge concession, located on the south western portion of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and 18 km away from Sun City. Very welcoming staff who went out of their way to make us comfortable. They included special surprises as this was our honeymoon. The view from the room is unbelievable.

We saw many antelopes (Elen, Kudu, Oryx and Springbok) and a huge herd of buffalos. The beds were huge and comfy, WiFi worked pretty well and the breakfast was good.

We found that no request we possibly had were a bridge too far for the staff and this includes all staff.

This property is so personal and beautiful. The workers to the owner made everything unique. For a solo traveler it was extremely safe. Just make sure you book their transportation company. My major credit card ambassador program booked everything but personal book directly through them.

Set in the Black Rhino Game Reserve, Morokolo Safari Lodge Self-catering offers an outdoor pool with view of the Pilanesberg Mountains and a hot tub. The location and the facilities for a larger group. it was nice to have ample accommodation for separate family groups. it was peaceful and the surrounding nature. We felt that we were alone and no sense of being crowded with many other tourists. Friendly competent staff.
