It was within walking distance to the grocery and gas station, and a short drive or walking distance from the pier and downtown attractions. The room was very clean with good amenities for cooking.

It’s such a cute and thoughtful place to stay, just outside of the small town of Talkeetna. There’s small touches, like robes, a gas fireplace, Netflix, artwork and coffee and mini fridge that make you feel really welcome and comfortable. We had a relaxing stay and will definitely go back if we’re in the area again. Close to a brewery. There’s also a lake just down from the cottage. The owners are lovely, helpful and welcoming people.

Exceeded my expectations and was a very comfortable place to stay for a couple of nights. A mile outside Haines (which is a great little town) along some rough roads, but really peaceful and secluded. So glad I stayed!

Set in a secluded forested area with numerous fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities nearby, Talkeetna Wilderness Lodge & Cabin Rentals is located in Sunshine, Alaska and is 15 minutes' drive from Talkeetna. An outdoor fire pit, free firewood, and free WiFi access are featured at this lodge. Loved the great view of the woods, spacious cabin, well stocked with all the amenities. Very friendly welcoming staff.
