Located in the Lacandon jungle setting in Palenque, this resort is a 5 minute drive to the Archeological Zone of Palenque. A 60 km drive from Cascadas Agua Azul Natural Park. I liked very much the swimming pool...extraordinary spot. Though, maintenance is being announced by having blue paing being washed by time/sun. Take car of that swiming pool, is a mine!

Featuring mountain views, Cabañas Junkolal Tziscao in Santiago features accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. I loved the Cabañas Junkolal Tziscao. I arrived shortly after a strong storm had passed through and left the entire area without power. Junkolal was prepared with an electric generator. While they didn't run it all the time (nor would I have expected them to), I was grateful that they were prepared to provide energy during a blackout. I was also pleased with their wonderful, folksy service. There was a group staying there at the same time that got a little loud a few times, but staff made sure that the group was quiet after dark and didn't disturb the other guests. Nery was an especially great host. He thoroughly described the property, it's coffee farm, and overlook, and the area to me. He was happy to provide tours (for a well-deserved and reasonable fee, of course) to nearby sites. Cabañas Junkolal Tziscao was my favorite stay during a 3-week vacation throughout Chiapas. I would definitely recommend it!

Located 3 km from Palenque Ruins, Villas Adriana, Palenque provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. when we arrived at the hotel we immediately felt zen. the host is very friendly and speaks good english. the food they prepared was delicious. we had the most amazing calzone with veggie’s and tuna. it was a challenge to finish the calzone with the two of us because it was so big. also there is good wifi and also the possibility to have a warm shower. to be at this hotel was an experience itself along with palenque. the jungle is beautiful and the hotel managed it to make you feel that you are in the jungle already. we would recommend this place for everyone, a big 10 for us!!

Offering a restaurant, Las Guacamayas Lodge Resort is located amidst the tropical jungle in Chiapas, 5 hours’ drive from San Cristobal de las Casas. Free Wi-Fi access is available in this lodge. The suite was absolutely fantastic. Had a wonderful experience staying here. Got to see moneys, Guacamayas, crocodiles, etc. 100% recommend!

Located in the Lacandon Jungle of Chiapas, on the banks of the Santo Domingo River in a natural environment facing the Las Nubes Waterfall. This ecolodge is like a dream. The location next to the river and waterfall are unreal. The food at the restaurant is also very good. I stayed at three difference ecolodges in Chiapas, and this was by far the best.

Located just 8 km from the Palenque Archaeologican Zone and 1 km from Palenque town, Hotel Cabañas Safari offers an outdoor pool and a traditional Temazcal steam bath. the location outside of town and bordering the jungle, the remote atmosphere, the nice staff, pool and restaurant

Located in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Yagil B&B provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. the complex with the inner patio is just magnificent, its really quiet and the view from the rooftop (we rented the house a few days earlier with friends, before my stay alone there) is beautiful. the staff, cleaning service and especially Yagil are very welcoming and can help you with every request even without being able to speak spanish. the double room i stayed alone in is perfect size and most important the tap water in the complex is treated so its safe to use for brushing teeth etc. that otherwise can be a problem in San Cris. Another good tip is to go on a tour with Yagil in the jungle/mountains dont miss that out!! free water, EXCELENT WIFI!!
