Arai Villa Myoko ligger i Myoko, 47 km från Zenkō-ji tempel, 49 km från Nagano station och 23 km från Nojirisjön. The house was spacious and comfortably furnished. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen. The villa is close to Lotte Arai resort (about 5 minute drive) and the managers of the villa were extremely helpful in arranging transport for our group with a neighbour, who was charming and helpful. The manager also arranged dinner for us at a local restaurant which usually only offers lunch and this was a very special experience for us. The drying room was excellent for our ski gear. From the house are views of the surrounding rice fields and up to the mountains.

Great food and social atmosphere for guests. Very quiet and laid back, perfect spot if you're looking to hit the slopes all day and get a good night's rest. Transfers to and from the hills are absolutely mint. Thanks Myoko team, I'll be back next year!

Myoko House was the perfect place to spend a few days skiing in the Myoko area. The hosts, Nathan and Akiko, were friendly and helpful. Nathan drove us to our choice of four ski areas each morning and Akiko made the best breakfasts to start each day. I would recommend this spot to anyone - our family was very happy there.

Pension Moomin Papa ligger i Myoko, 31 km från Zenkō-ji tempel och 33 km från Nagano station, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi, luftkonditionering, en trädgård och en gemensam lounge. Pension Moomin Papa is a very cute and cosy home from home. It was very warm with lovely underfloor heating, clean and tidy. You can order home cooked breakfast and dinner. The other travellers were nice and friendly. I loved my stay here!

Conveniently located a 4-minute walk from Akakura Onsen Ski Resort and a 4-minute walk from the bus terminal, Hunter Lodge offers free WiFi throughout the property and free luggage storage service. The staff was very kind. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Room was clean and well appointed.

Myoko Mountain Lodge ligger bara 650 meter från skidorten Akakura Kanko och 5 minuters bilresa från skidorten Akakura Onsen. Här erbjuds mysiga rum med gratis WiFi och gratis parkering. Location, organization, food, welcoming host… was all great!

Kagura White Horse Inn ligger i Yuzawa, knappt 100 meter från skidorten Kagura. Här erbjuds ett gemensamt kök och en lounge. Här erbjuds gratis WiFi och kostnadsfri gästparkering. Good location, only 100m from Mitsumata ropeway, convenient equipment rental, if not at WhiteHorse then many shops nearby. Room is clean, heater works very well, you will have a warm night sleep. I normally don't prefer carpet because of dust and cleaning is not very effective with carpet, but WH handles that with slipper area in hotel, making the carpet floor rather cleaner compared to other more expensive, higher-star, big chain hotels, which is very nice. And if you search around, there is no other place nearby with this good cleanliness rating at this price. The host is very very nice and helpful, explains thing very clearly, and with very good English. I will stay here again in my next trip to Mitsumata. And just some info for people choosing between ordinary and newly renovated room, since I got to stay in both types. The newly renovated, got a bit bigger area in the bathroom, shower enclosure, modern mixer faucet, and I guess new wash basin got kicked out into the bedroom instead lol. I didn't measure, but from guesstimation, I think the bed room got a bit smaller area because of that, but still more than enough. I am very familiar with small bedroom in various hotels in Japan, and this is quite big already for me. The ordinary room though, got the Japanese style cabinet bathroom, with build-in bath tub + shower + curtain + old style manual mixer faucet, washbasin and toilet altogether. Small area in the bathroom, and toilet (but again, I am very familiar with that, so no problem.) which makes bigger bed room. I could lie on the floor while packing my luggage lol. My ordinary room is on the front side of the hotel, I felt it was a bit colder, not sure because of old insulation or not but anyway, the heater is very good and I got no problem at all. Either type is superbly clean anyway. The common area is amazing, light cooking equipment, microwave, tables, sofa, ping-pong table. I could see other people have great time there. A really good place.

池の平温泉 ロッジ コクハ ligger i Myoko i regionen Niigata, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering samt tillgång till ett termalbad. The owners of the lodge , Hideo and Yokan are the most wonderful and generous people. Their breakfast and dinners are beautiful and very large. I had trouble eating all of the food provided which they take great care in preparing. They regularly offer support and advice on local activities. And if they have a discount voucher for local ski rental and lift tickets they are sure to offer it. The lodge is only 150m away from the ski lifts at ikenotaria. . Very easy to walk. Easy walk to the Alpine blick spa as well for a magnificent onsen experience (they had discount vouchers for that as well). The lodge has its own onsen which was great. Bus stop from Myoko kogen station is only 400m away. As is the Myoko shuttle bus which links sugiohara and akakura onsen. The property is great value for money.
