The lodge was closed for renovations, so we were accommodated at their Private Member Suites (Matla Lodge) in a lovely large chalet. Only 5 chalets at the lodge, so it had a very exclusive feel. Great outdoor area with pool and where we had a braai dinner overlooking the waterhole ( two leopards came to visit! ). The main building was beautifully furnished. Staff were lovely, and we had an amazing guide, James, so knowledgeable and good fun….did the very best sunset/morning drinks that we had during our 3 weeks touring in SA!!! Madikwe is a brilliant reserve for wildlife, fantastic game viewing, it will not disappoint.

Do not hesitate – book this property right away! It was by far the most exceptional travel we have ever done (and we travel quite a bit). The lodge is absolutely gorgeous and I’d like to highlight that the pictures DO NOT do justice to the actual look of the place. The safari rides are exceptional and Madikwe is truly a beautiful reserve. From game drives, to brunch, high tea, dinner, massage, library with tons of books, chessboards available for random games, swimming pools, lounges around the lodge… you will never be bored and will be left with tons of memories. Finally to conclude - we would like to particularly highlight the STAFF, possibly the best experience we ever had. Our ranger Ryan has shown exceptional professionalism & impeccable service in everything he was doing. We were touched by his passion for his job and animals, and truly felt like we were going on drives with a living encyclopedia, amazing! We always felt safe during the rides and overall very well taken care of – from the first moment we got to know him, to the “good-mood wake up calls at 4:30am”, until the very last transfer to our airplane back to Johannesburg where he “winged at us” while we were taking off. Linda has been wonderful in welcoming us to the property, teaching us about baboons and elephants around the lodge and joking around with us. Spa, the executive chef, delivered the most amazing dishes, showed us the wine cave and was really looking after every experience with great attention and amiability. The overall staff taking care of the kitchen and rooms were wonderful with a true 5 stars attention to detail and care, with a welcome drink at any point in time. You know what we mean when one week after the trip, we are STILL talking about the Impodimo lodge and its wonderful team. Thank you!

We were return travelers to Motswiri and honestly had the most amazing experience (again!!). It is truly such a beautiful place situated perfectly in Madikwe Game Reserve with amazing staff who just create unforgettable memories. We absolutely loved it and could not recommend it more highly. The safari experience, food and accommodation is just the best !

Excellent, warm and friendly staff. The waterhole, 50 yards from the lodge, had a constant stream of animals: elephants, Rhinos, Giraffes, and numerous others. This was my fifth 3 day safari and I was amazed with the quality of the lodge, food and animal sightings on the twice daily drives.

Amazing experience. Very intimate small lodge with an authentic feel. Food was superb. Staff and service were wonderful. Twice daily game drives were incredible. Our ranger was very knowledgeable and worked hard to make sure we had the best experience and were lucky to see all the Mag 7 the park has to offer. You will not be disappointed!

What a place! I could honestly go on forever about how amazing Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge is! We were return travelers and had another truly incredible stay. From stunningly beautiful rooms, wonderful and very friendly staff, absolutely amazing wildlife and delicious food- nothing is short of perfect. We just wish we stayed longer!
