Boasting a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the mountain, BKZ Self-Catering is situated in Solitaire and features accommodation with free WiFi.

A continental breakfast is available each morning at the lodge.

The owners, hot showers, hospitality, views, calmness, a kitchen to prepare your food and the garden with many trees on which are hanging fruits such as oranges and others. And a small round pool ( we didn't use it though) It's an Oasis in the desert to look at. If you are driving especially at nighttime, It's quite remote and easy to miss, but the owner is a gentleman as he was waiting for us at the roadside. I don't know how long he waited but must have been a while. Shortly after we arrived, I realised that we had a punctured tyre, we decided to change it next morning, come next morning the car was lying flat on two punctured tyres ( remember don't rent a car with Avis they give you bad tyres it's known around here ) the owner helped repair a total of 3 punctures, otherwise who knows how long I had been stuck. Thanks to the gentleman.

Due to low season we were upgraded to Naukluft lodge which is a few hundred meters away from soft camping. Idyllic location in the middle of the desert. Very quiet and peaceful. You can see wild animals wandering around from your balcony. Ground squirrels even come to your balcony and can be hand-fed.Very comfy beds and good meals. Very friendly owners. They even helped us with our car troubles. Overall we had a fantastic stay!

Location is good - only an hour or so drive to Sesriem. The campsite is 4km away from the lodge so there is zero light pollution and so the night sky is amazing.

The Desert Grace has a recognizable lovingly designed concept - particularly the very well equipped rooms correspond to the high-quality claim of this lodge in the top category of the Gondwana Brand. The private pools with uninterrupted views of the red dunes of the Namib are wonderful - especially for families with small children. The nightly Scorpion Walk is also highly recommended.

We were actually upgraded to the lodge and this proved exceptional. The staff and the owners were very friendly. We loved the swimming pool area and the closeness to the desert and nature was very special. Dinner on the patio by candlelight watching the setting was lovely. Our room was spacious and looked out on to the veld.

If other places in the Namib-Naukluft Park are overpriced, this lodge is just priced right. The comfort of the bed/room and the food options correspond to the pricing. Breakfast had few options, but those were delicious enough.
