We are a couple from California on a road trip around UK. Last minute we booked Explorers Retreat and we were greatly impressed with the comfortable place and employees kindness. And at good price a room with microwave, mini fridge and anything you need to prepare a light meal. Also very quiet.

Location is nice, there are roads around the lake but not heard much. Cool on hot days.

Lovely little cabin to have a mini-break in for a few days. The facilities are all just right for the place - small kitchen, but fully equipped with everything you need; extremely efficient log burner that gets the place toasty in seconds; comfy beds and chairs; plenty of space outside for the dog to run about. And the best of all - the host is so friendly and helpful.
