The atmosphere was very pleasant and laid back. The place had character, was warm and friendly. Great cooking facilities with everything you would need. Right next to the grocery store. Incredible stay!

Fantastic place if you like wildlife. Right in the heart of the rainforest we watched birds on the balcony eating chopped fruit, sugar gliders eating tree sap in the night viewing area and saw and heard various animals. Very comfortable and tranquil place.

We had a fantastic stay at Sharlynn by the River as a group of 3 friends. This property definitely exceeded our expectations. Thanks to John and Pam for being very accommodating, we really enjoyed the morning coffee and breakfast. The cabin is very comfortable and the decking around it is beautiful. Sadly, did not see any tree kangaroos, we loved out stay by the river. A great base to explore the Atherton tablelands and chill out.

It has a cosy fire, beautiful dining area and lounge areas inside and out. The kitchen is brilliantly stocked. We loved the puzzles and games. The rooms are comfy and the bathrooms were impeccable. The area is wonderful for seeing duck-billed platypuses and tree kangaroos.

The room had lots of thoughtful touches such as complimentary chocolates. Gina was a great host - very helpful but not intrusive. The perfect place for a reviving retreat.

But when I booked my room for the night at the wallaby the boss Paul was so nice also he was so helpful, Paul is a very caring person to me and my family also to everyone around the wallaby lodge.
