best zoo by far and free. we caught a bus from our hotel making it such a cheap day out. animal enclosures were great and we loved seeing the pandas. you need all day here to see everything. well worth going regardless of age. a little hilly in parts but manageable and wide open pathways

Make sure you get dropped off at the front entrance and not at the back. We got dropped off at the back, and it was uphill all the way through the zoo. And we almost missed the pandas, which is the main reason we went there. A lot of the exhibit, including the pandas, close at 6 PM. The zoo itself did not close until 7 PM. So I only got to see the pandas for five minutes.

Although the parks hours say they close at 5 or 6 some days they actually start closing attractions about an hour earlier than the park itself. So make sure to give yourself at least 3 hours before it closes.
