The memorial is so nice.
The memorial is so nice. Go inside and read about the history and quotes of Lincoln. Definitely added to the experience and I was able to appreciate different aspects of the memorial more. Definitely very crowded, but that is expected. A must see!

we hired bikes from union station and did our own self guided bike tour of the mall starting from Capitol hill right the way to lincoln memorial stopping enroute for photos and picnic. we then biked round the tidal basin to jefferson memorial and out to georgetown. great way to get around and see all the sights. only thing we wished we had done was see the memorials at night. next time!!

Impressive imposing memorial.
Impressive imposing memorial. Unlike other sights there's little visible security personnel. Expect big crowds, expect that they do not heed the notice to "show respect, be silent". Expect screaming crowds, wanting their selfies at every angle! It seems crowded any time of day. it would be nice a dusk but it's a long walk there, the bus takes a long time when it gets caught up in late afternoon traffic. Its a long way from metro stop too. So family with youngsters find it hard going. Its a moving monument and memorial and has splendid views from this vantage point.

Be sure to read LIncoln's second inaugural address on the wall, then stand on the porch where the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. looked out on the mass of people as he spoke at the March on Washington.

The location was great; right on a main bus line and an 8 minute walk to the metro. One day we walked back from the Lincoln Memorial and it was about 30 minutes.
Hotel room and facilities were nice and clean. Staff was very friendly. Location is great. 20 minute walk to the Lincoln memorial and national mall area and about 4 minutes from the GWU-Foggy Bottom Metro Station. Taking the metro was an extremely cheap and quick way to get around the city. Cleanest metro stations and cars I have ever seen. Basically a luxury cabin compared to Boston and NYC subways.
The room was clean and well-organized. The location was very convenient, being close to Washington DC's highlights such as the White House, the Smithsonian museums, the Capitol, the Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial. You can walk or take a cab/metro to reach these attractions.
The front desk staff was very helpful with providing everything we need. I like the text feature wherein I could text them and they responded right away and followed up if the request has been met. Location is 1 mile from Lincoln memorial. Breakfast every morning was excellent especially the omelet bar.
Location is good! Really close to the Lincoln memorial where we started our walking tour. I also loved the big space in the room. There was a kitchen with the usual equipment, and a powder room next to the bathroom. Staff were also very friendly and accommodating
The location was close to the Constitution hall where I went for a concert. It was also close to the white house and the Lincoln memorial and many other things I wanted to see.
There was valet parking and also a parking garage right under the hotel. There was a convenient store around the block. It was a 20 minute walk to get to the Lincoln Memorial.
We had a very spacious and accessible room.
We loved the convenient location of the hotel. It is a short 10-min walk to the nightlife of Georgetown, and a 15-minute scooter ride to the Lincoln Memorial. Staff was super friendly, especially Jack at the front desk. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to DC
This hotel is really well designed and has a bit of a luxurious feel despite its affordability. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. The lady at the checkin desk was very informative and gave us some helpful tips. The location in Georgetown is great for those who want to set off on foot to get great food and drinks in the evening. It was also an easy walk down to the Lincoln Memorial to begin a tour of D.C.'s most famous sights.
