The Hall was all that I had dreamed it would be.

The Hall was all that I had dreamed it would be. My suggestion is to go early as there is so much to see. The guides there are terrific. I recommend taking the guided tour of the plaques as the guide will tell you all sorts of amazing "little known facts" about various members and their intriguing histories. My wife was even fascinated by the guide's stories. The film is also a "must see" item.

If you are visiting with 3 or more people, sign up for an annual Museum membership. It is only a few dollars more than the price of admission and entitled you to a yearbook, pins, decals, copies of the Hall of Fame magazine, a 12-month magazine subscription, and a 10% discount at the gift shop and many other stores in Cooperstown. If you plan to buy any souvenirs, it will pay for itself in no time.

It is baseball heaven - well laid out, historically and by category. Also liked the Sunday 8-9 opening as it allowed us to see the museum without the crowds. This worked well for our 11 year old grandson as he was able to enjoy the plaques, the lockers, finding his favorite players and learning baseball history.

For baseball enthusiasts, this is the place to go.

For baseball enthusiasts, this is the place to go. From stepping back in time of the early days of baseball to the statistics of today, the Hall of Fame has it all. You could easily spend a whole day reading all about the game and it's cast of players through the years. Young and old alike should visit - it is definitely a place you will remember for years!

    Allow a full day.

Allow a full day. Take several breaks for lunch and coffee, to get rejuvenated. The staff was very helpful. I was looking for the name of a journalist, and they bent over backward, asked each other. We finally determined that his name was not there, but in the meantime, the search enabled me to see the entire museum, with 3 visits in one day. It is also nice they give a senior discount.

I had wanted to come to Cooperstown and experience the baseball Hall of Fame since I was a kid. I wanted to stay somewhere in the center of town so that I could walk to the hall and enjoy the benefits of the incredibly charming downtown of Cooperstown. When I checked in, I had no idea I was literally next-door to the hall! What a treasure, after a long day at the hall, I was able to go out to dinner and walk to wonderful places to eat. Have a few cocktails without having to drive and walk back to my room. I would love to come again.

I particularly liked the welcoming conversation and breakfast on the porch. The staff was so cheerful and helpful, even accommodating my need to eat gluten free. The location is very nice too - great view of the lake and only 8 min from downtown Cooperstown with all its activities (restaurants, baseball hall of fame etc).

Unique hotel combination including a great restaurant with terrific lake views. It was our favorite restaurant for the week we stayed in Cooperstown. The hotel has more of a motel-ish feel to it but the rooms have all been renovated and exceptionally clean. It is right on the lake with great atmosphere. The staff, esp at the restaurant were awesome - helping set my grandson and I up to fish a bit - and the fishing was good. And its a block away from downtown and the Baseball Hall Of Fame.

It was very close to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Cooperstown which made our trip more enjoyable since we didn’t have to spend a lot of time in the car to go to and from places. GREAT breakfast! Probably the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. Coffee was good too at the coffee station. I loved the little “market” they have.

The Staff was so freaking friendly!!!! Sherry & Lori made our first time to Cooperstown an unforgettable experience. They knew my son (who turned 8) was going to the Baseball Hall of Fame for the first time and gave him a special bat and sign when we returned to the room. Such a sweet gesture.
