It had all the usual Japanese hotel amenities (like slippers and yukata). We also liked the small onsen and communal space and kitchenette available for guests usage on the 3rd floor. The hotel is steps away from Hakone Tozan train Gora station and cable car station, near Gora Park. Lawson store and Open Air Museum is a 10-minute walk or 1 train station away.

Google map doesn’t show the most convenient way of getting there so we were intimidated at first, but turned out if you buy the Hakone free pass and take the cable car, it’s only 2min walk from Naka Gora station. We enjoyed the onsen, the free yukatas, and the traditional dinner and breakfast. Very good service and free coffee and sake at the lobby!

The gora station is 20 steps from the hotel. This is the beginning of the line for the cable Car. We were able to EASILY do the part of the hakone loop we wanted.. starting at Gora Station and ended with the boat then left for fuji. Location location location. Room was clean. Bathrooms were in order.

She is trilingual in English, Chinese, and Japanese. I would stay here again for future trips to Hakone. The location is extremely close to the Kamigora cable car station, which directly connects to the Gora Station from Hakone Yumoto station.
