There's a co-op store next door and a few pubs nearby. A very clean room, comfy bed and large en suite. Tea and coffee making supplies, TV and table and chairs. I was actually upgraded without knowing it! The bar downstairs was full of my fellow Derby fans, and it was nice and traditional. Also, as a resident, you can get a late drink at the Keppel's Head Hotel a few doors down.

The bed was extremely comfy — unusual for all of the pillows to be as comfortable as this hotel. The decor of the entire place was very fun, properly themed. I had a good look at all the model boats. Helpful pleasant staff and cleanliness good. Furniture a bit tired in the room. Sea facing rooms have terrific views and the hotel is less than 5 minutes from the Historic Dockyard and 10 minutes from the huge Quays shopping centre within easy walk where you will find many restaurants and bars. Opposite is the Portsmouth Harbour train station, bus station and ferries so transport is easy.

Rooms are snug but comfortable and i got a good night sleep. The room was clean and everything we needed. Breakfast was as good as rememberred. Location couldn't be better for the Historic Dockyeard, Gun Wharf Keys and Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station.

We walked home quickly after a day of shopping at Gunwharf quays and then took the catamaran to isle of wight the next day from Portsmouth Harbour. The apartment was large and comfy. We used the kitchen for dinner.
