Very warm welcome from Juana and Celso. Nice and cosy place to stay and chill. Celso will guide you to the best spots of taquile island from Pachamama temple, inca ruins, best sunset spot, to playa. They are great host with big heart. I truly recommend staying with them. They will tell you everything about island history, tradition, and more!
Just remember not taking all your luggage with you ...cause the island is hilly and the hike can be a bit challenging with heavy bags.
Edwin and his wife were very kind, caring and attentive hosts. We learned a lot about Taquile culture and traditions. We ate wonderful and hearty breakfasts, luches and dinners. The sunrise and view from our room was exceptional. We enjoyed it very much!
Celso and Juana are amazing host and we had a great time staying at their house. Celso came to the port to welcome us and shared a lot of advice for us to visit the island and understand its customs. The dinner and breakfast cooked by Juana were excellent. The room was comfortable with enough blankets to avoid being cold at night. The (shared) bathroom was very clean. Would totally recommend a stay at Celso House for a full immersion in Taquile island!
We stayed one night with Juliana and Mario. They were very welcoming, they showed us around the Island and explained us their way of living (in Spanish). We stayed in a lovely room with private bathroom (with hot water). Also there were enough blankets during the night so we never got cold. Breakfast was included, but we did also eat dinner at the Hospedaje for 5 dollar. Lunch we ate at a little Restaurant in the Main Plaza. We really enjoyed our time on Taquile. The Island is worth it to spend more than just one day there.
